of marbles and chickadees,

flitters budding crabapples.

 

Steam rising off the highway

medians, Inexplicable drives

skinny bridges, orange

 

cones overboard.

Water rising, Incidental

brandishes a paddle,

 

interjects air steering.

Forward-looking,

Inexplicable decks out

 

in paper streamers,

toys with Incidental’s

folding chairs.

 

Crowded perch of campsite

tables waiting,

Inexplicable fills a pack

 

with birdseed-feeders.

Anthropologists in tow,

Incidental pulls out a torn tuxedo.
