Bill Wolak – Ⅴ
Once More
Once more
kiss me till you can’t breathe.
Hold me even tighter
till the broken ropes of our muscles ignite
spreading goose bumps through us
like underground lightning.
You are the last fish swimming
through my impenetrable tears
encircling my life with wonder.
Now we can press our scars together
forming a mouth that can heal itself
only by speaking in the present.
Every other tense
has less weight than all we have tasted,
less existence than all that’s passed through us,
less future than the layer of lint we will become.
Touch me once more with your hands
that understand the endless suffering of numbers
because in the end everything will be measured
only by our ability to confront desire.
Once more

Hold me even tighter

spreading goose bumps through us
like underground lightning.
