offer sage smoke

  to clean the stretch
 
 
 
between our bodies.
 
 
 
 
 

I let the faucet drip

  where blood smeared

 
 

where my brother picked up

  the shell    put it in his mouth.

 
 

where this last note thuds

  back into me.
