Intervention, the snapshot solarized—

black point, white point. Man and woman turned

and textured, tulips on the table, sized

and re-sized almost out of focus – burned

with pixels and burned out, flash-point stars

against a decomposed, re-filtered back-

light. Digital developing that scars

this couple white on double white on black,

the image mottled like a tulip with

mosaic virus, gorgeous Rembrandt blooms

that break from dark to white and into myth:

inflected like the likeness of this room:

what was a couple now a random haze

with broken tulips and an antique vase.
