Falling Off the Globe
(1)
don’t go walking that far
as you will fall off the globe
don’t cut trees in the woods
what can you see beyond that
you can see a naked globe
from the globe
even trees will end up falling
one day I took a walk with a dog
I want to piddle, but the sea is scary
and the dog too is scared of such a place
but I felt there is
a place the globe drops off
beyond the sea
the dog, too, seems to have said it’s scary
I got back near my house as before
and by the piddling dog, I too felt relieved

I don’t want to fall off the globe
I go walking while thinking
I don’t want to go walking that far
but after going as far as to the edge
I got scared
it’s a pity that I have to say good-bye to the globe
the globe too, in silence,
is staring my way
you are not really thinking
it may be the right moment for me to part from you now
at this point leaving there I decided to sleep
it’s scary so tonight too
I want to sleep on the warm futon of the globe
my futon at home is like a mother
hanging over the globe go to sleep
tonight, too, the futon said
as I slept I thought
the globe is watching over me and smiling
in the edge of my dream
地球からおっこちる

そっちまで歩いていっちゃダメだよ
地球からおちるから
森の木をきったらダメだよ
そのむこうに何がみえる
ハダカの地球がみえるから
地球から
木までおっこちてしまうよ
ある日犬と散歩にいきました
オシッコしたいのに海もコワイし
犬もそんなとこはコワイし
でも海のむこうに
地球のおっこちるところが
ある気がしました
犬もコワイよといったようです
もとどおりうちの近くにもどり
オシッコする犬のそばでわたしもホットしました

地球からおっこちるのはいやだよ
そっちまで歩いていくのはいやだ
と思いながら歩いていくのです
でもそのハシのところまでいって
コワクなりました
もうサヨウナラと地球にいわなくてはならいとは
地球もだまってじっと
こちらをみています
もうお別れしてもいいのかなと
きみは思っているわけじゃないでしょう
ここでそこから離れて眠ることにしました
コワイのですし今晩も地球の暖かいフトンの上で
ねたいのです。うちのフトンは地球の上にかぶさっている
お母さんのようです。ねむりなさいと今晩もフトンがいいました。
眠りながら地球が夢のフチの中で
みまもり笑っているように思いました。
